Definitions/Comments:

Since April 2004, common assault (Art. 123 section 2 para 3–5 StGB), repeated acts of aggression (Art. 126 para 2 letters b, bbis and c StGB), threatening behaviour (Art. 180 para 2 StGB), as well as indecent assault (Art. 189 StGB) and rape (Art. 190 StGB) within marriages and partnerships are ex officio offences.
