Social report 2016

The labour force participation rate describes the proportion of the overall population of working age (15–64 years) that is available on the labour market, irrespective of whether they currently have a job or are unemployed. People who are not available on the labour market include, for example, sick people, early retirees or people who are enrolled in full-time education. The employment rate describes the proportion of 15 to 64-year-olds who actually have a job.
